DTDC Widens its Footprints in South Asia with the Latest Store Launch in Sri Lanka

Leading express logistics provider DTDC Express Ltd. has officially expanded its operations to Sri Lanka with the launch of its first store in Colombo, in partnership with Parcel Lanka as its authorized franchisee.

The grand inauguration saw the presence of Mr. Subhasish Chakraborty, Chairman and Managing Director of DTDC Express Ltd.; Mr. Pinaki Chatterjee, CEO and Co-Founder of DTDC Australia; Mr. Vijayananth Guganathan, Managing Director of Parcel Lanka; and Mr. Vithyanath Guganathan, Chairman of Parcel Lanka.

This expansion marks a crucial milestone in DTDC’s South Asian growth strategy, adding Sri Lanka to its global presence across India, Australia, the UAE, Canada, the US, Malaysia, and the UK.

The new Colombo store will offer domestic and international courier services, MSME and e-commerce logistics, and bulk shipping solutions. DTDC also plans to introduce cutting-edge logistics infrastructure, including AI-powered tracking systems, automated parcel sorting, and self-service kiosks, ensuring seamless and technology-driven delivery solutions.

As Sri Lanka emerges as a pivotal logistics hub in South Asia, rising online shopping trends, increased MSME exports, and growing global trade connections highlight the need for efficient logistics solutions. DTDC’s entry into the market aims to strengthen trade connectivity, enhance supply chain efficiency, and support businesses with advanced logistics services.
