A former CIA analyst has sparked fresh controversy by publicly questioning the mental fitness of U.S. President Donald Trump, claiming his cognitive decline is compromising America’s ability to manage serious global crises. Larry Johnson, a veteran intelligence official, warned that Trump is exhibiting clear signs of deterioration in both speech and behavior, raising serious concerns about his decision-making on the world stage.

“Trump is playing games with weapons,” Johnson said, referencing the president’s approach to the ongoing war in Ukraine. He argued that Trump’s erratic handling of the conflict has left U.S. adversaries, particularly Russia, more amused than alarmed. “With war in Ukraine, Russia is just laughing at him,” Johnson added, suggesting that America’s credibility as a global power is being undermined from the top.

Johnson went further, asserting that President Trump is no longer capable of making serious diplomatic agreements. “No serious deals can be made,” he said bluntly, portraying the commander-in-chief as increasingly detached from the gravity of his office.

The comments come as Trump’s administration faces growing scrutiny over its foreign policy stance, especially amid intensifying tensions with Russia and China. While the White House has not responded to Johnson’s claims, the remarks have added fuel to an already heated debate over Trump’s leadership, mental acuity, and the direction of American diplomacy under his second term in office.

As global crises escalate and domestic political divisions widen, questions about the president’s capacity to lead are no longer confined to campaign rhetoric—they’re now echoing from the intelligence community itself.
