Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Leader of the Islamic Revolution, emphasized the importance of national unity and support for the country’s officials during a public appearance at a mourning ceremony for the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Reza (AS) in Tehran on Sunday.

Addressing thousands of attendees from various walks of life, Ayatollah Khamenei warned that external forces are seeking to exploit divisions within Iran following the recent 12-day conflict with Israel and the United States. “The invincible shield of solidarity between the people, officials, and the Armed Forces must not be undermined,” he said.

The Leader described the Iranian nation’s steadfast resistance to the United States’ demands for submission, asserting that Iran cannot be coerced into obedience through military action. He referenced the June 13–25 Israeli-US offensive, which halted after Iran’s retaliatory missile strikes overwhelmed Israeli defense systems.

Khamenei stressed that the enemies, having failed militarily, are now attempting to weaken Iran through division. He called on all Iranians, including intellectuals and media figures, to safeguard the unity achieved after the war and to support the government, particularly President Masoud Pezeshkian, whom he described as “diligent, hardworking, and persistent.”

The Supreme Leader also dismissed calls for direct negotiations with the United States, labeling them as “superficial” and misguided, while reiterating that Iran’s resolve and national cohesion remain unshakable.
