J.P. Morgan announced on Monday the creation of its Special Advisory Services unit, designed to provide strategic guidance on emerging themes including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital assets, healthcare, geopolitics, supply chains, and sustainability. The move reflects growing demand for specialized expertise as technology adoption, geopolitical shifts, and economic uncertainty reshape global markets.

The unit will be led by Liz Myers, global chair of investment banking at J.P. Morgan, who brings over three decades of experience with the firm, including leadership of its global equity capital markets business. Myers will oversee advisory services aimed at long-standing and high-profile clients seeking more than conventional dealmaking and financing support.

J.P. Morgan said the advisory services will prioritize companies looking to use the bank as lead adviser for initial public offerings, established clients pursuing transformational transactions, and mid-sized firms aiming to make J.P. Morgan their primary banking partner. Analysts see the launch as part of a broader trend in the investment advisory market, which is expected to grow in 2026 as firms seek guidance on market-moving trends and specialized expertise.
