Reports say that Ayatollah Khamenei’s son-in-law and daughter-in-law were reportedly killed in recent strikes as tensions between Iran, Israel, and the United States escalate. A member of Tehran’s city council stated that the family members died in the attacks, although there has been no independent confirmation and Iranian state media has not officially verified the claim.
The alleged deaths occur amid a surge in hostilities following joint US–Israeli air and missile strikes on Iranian targets earlier this week. These strikes reportedly hit key military and government facilities in Tehran and other cities, with multiple senior Iranian commanders said to have been among those targeted.
Iranian authorities have been cautious in confirming specific casualties. Tehran has acknowledged that at least two Iranian commanders were killed in the attacks, but it has not publicly confirmed high-profile personal losses linked to Khamenei. Officials have reported that the Supreme Leader himself is alive and has been relocated to a secure location.
The conflict has prompted retaliatory strikes by Iran on military bases in the Gulf region, raising fears of further escalation. International reactions continue to call for restraint even as both Tehran and its adversaries prepare for what could become a prolonged confrontation.
Authorities in Iran have yet to release full casualty figures or provide details surrounding the reported deaths of Khamenei’s family members, and analysts caution that early reports in such a fast-moving conflict remain difficult to verify.
