Venezuela sits atop the world’s largest proven oil reserves, exceeding 300 billion barrels, concentrated in the Orinoco Belt, dwarfing even Saudi Arabia’s fields. Beyond oil, Venezuela’s underground wealth includes over 1,500 tons of certified gold in the Orinoco Mining Arc, unquantified rare earth elements essential for tech and renewable energy, coltan valued at over $100 billion, 4.5–5 billion metric tons of iron ore, proven natural gas reserves of approximately 5.5 trillion cubic meters, industrial-grade diamonds, roughly 100 million tons of bauxite, nickel exceeding 1 million tons, and thousands of tons of unexplored uranium.
