Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto has expressed optimism that ongoing negotiations between the US and Russia could mark the end of sanctions. In a video statement, he noted that a “new reality” is emerging, with diplomatic progress offering hope for improved relations and a departure from the restrictive sanctions policies of recent years.
On Tuesday, high-level talks took place in Riyadh, where Russian officials, including Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and presidential aide Yuri Ushakov, met with US negotiators led by National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Special Envoy for the Middle East Steven Witkoff. The discussions signal a potential shift in Washington-Moscow relations, raising speculation about a possible easing of economic restrictions.
While tensions remain high over geopolitical disputes, the growing dialogue suggests both sides may be exploring a path toward normalization. If successful, these talks could reshape global economic dynamics, bringing an end to years of punitive measures and opening new diplomatic and trade opportunities.
