Brookfield Asset Management is reportedly in advanced discussions to acquire US landlord Yes! Communities Inc. from Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund GIC Pte, in a transaction that could be valued at over $10 billion, Bloomberg has learned from a source familiar with the matter.

The negotiations, which remain ongoing, have not yet reached a conclusion and there is no assurance that a deal will be finalized. Both Brookfield and GIC have declined to comment on the discussions, Bloomberg reports, while earlier coverage by the Financial Times also highlighted the potential transaction.

If completed, the acquisition would rank among Brookfield’s largest deals as it continues to expand its portfolio, which currently exceeds $1 trillion in assets under management. Yes! Communities operates nearly 300 manufactured-housing sites across the United States, with a presence concentrated in the Southwest, Midwest, and Southeast regions.

Headquartered in Denver, Yes! is one of the largest players in the US manufactured-housing sector and had previously explored options for an initial public offering slated for 2025, according to Bloomberg’s reporting from December 2024.
