How can this cohort independently think like humans, make decisions along moral, spiritual, ethical, religious values ?
This is what essentially differentiates human from inanimate objects.
Should AI devices be trained to feel the emotions shared by humans and animal living creatures, then there would be a society of smart robots dictating humans how to feel, laugh or cry, happy or sad, without the refined, infinite nuances, in a black or white yes or no pattern.
Integrity, culture, humanities, what’s that ? Which parts of Human Sciences will disappear ? Should these unique human dimensions be crushed, on which data bank would AI build its advancements ? As you have pointed out, the AI kids may be faced with a precipice where to kill their soft emotional capacity as in a societal suicide; they would be leaving behind a techno “civilisation” for techno anthropologists to decipher; the vicious circle is closed.
Besides, should it be an eventual ambition to “train” AI robots to mimic human values and feelings, the conscience AI may eventually have is totally dependent on AI programmers’ conscience and awareness. Another vicious circle is closed.
AI addicts would be bewildered in such a maze of dizzying vicious circles, they would not know which God or Temple to worship at (à quel Saint se vouer), their very self-identity fragmented the way schizophrenia split’s mind operates. Anyway, AI robots formatted with humans moral or ethic norms would input annoying obstacles to frustrate the human’s arrogance to override its limitations to go faster, higher, mightier.
