In a significant step towards bolstering regional security and military cooperation, Sri Lankan Defence Secretary Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd) met with Indian Defence Secretary Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh on February 11. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the prestigious Aero India 2025 air show in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
Discussions between the two officials centered on key defence and security concerns, including measures to combat illegal fishing, strengthen maritime security, and enhance training programs for defence personnel from both nations.
