Expressing his willingness to work with President Murmu, Xi stressed the importance of enhancing strategic mutual trust, deepening exchanges across multiple sectors, and maintaining peace and stability in border areas. He reaffirmed China’s commitment to fostering steady and constructive bilateral ties that contribute to global peace and prosperity.

In her response, President Murmu acknowledged the crucial role of India and China as major neighboring nations that collectively represent one-third of the global population. She emphasized that a stable and predictable relationship between the two countries would not only benefit their citizens but also positively impact the world at large. Murmu proposed using the 75th anniversary as a foundation for strengthening India-China ties in a constructive and sustainable manner.

Additionally, Chinese Premier Li Qiang and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi exchanged similar congratulatory messages, reinforcing the commitment to bolstering diplomatic ties. Premier Li expressed China’s readiness to enhance strategic mutual trust and expand cooperation in various domains while addressing longstanding border issues to ensure a smooth bilateral relationship.

Prime Minister Modi echoed these sentiments, emphasizing that India and China, as two of the world’s oldest civilizations, have played pivotal roles in shaping human history. He noted that fostering stronger India-China relations would not only contribute to regional stability but also reinforce the vision of a multi-polar world. Modi expressed optimism that the 75th anniversary would serve as a new chapter in the steady and constructive evolution of bilateral ties.

The milestone anniversary marks a moment of reflection and renewed commitment for China and India as they navigate challenges and opportunities on the global stage. Both nations have pledged to work toward greater cooperation, ensuring a future of mutual growth and development.
