Larry Fink, the CEO of BlackRock, has issued a stark warning about the trajectory of the United States economy, cautioning that ballooning deficits could overwhelm the country unless it achieves at least 3% annual growth.
Speaking on the global financial outlook, Fink criticized the White House’s tariff-heavy trade policies, saying such moves may alienate foreign investors who are key holders of US Treasury bonds. He warned that losing international trust in American debt markets could have profound consequences for US financial stability and geopolitical dominance.
“If the United States suddenly finds itself unable to make other countries bear its debt burden,” Fink said, “what is going to happen to US hegemony?”
The remarks highlight mounting concerns among financial leaders over America’s fiscal health, as the national debt continues to climb at record pace.
