North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), and supreme commander of the country’s armed forces, received a message of greeting from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on October 10.
According to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), the message from Abbas extended “warm greetings” and offered “tender-hearted congratulations” to Kim on the occasion of the 80th founding anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
The Palestinian president also conveyed wishes for Kim Jong Un’s continued good health and happiness, as well as for “greater progress and prosperity” for the people and country of the DPRK. Abbas concluded his message by expressing his “highest respect” for Kim.
