Palantir Technologies has raised its annual revenue forecast and projected stronger-than-expected fourth-quarter results, supported by growing demand for its artificial intelligence and data analytics software among US government agencies and commercial clients. The company’s latest outlook highlights the increasing importance of advanced data management and AI solutions as organisations seek to improve decision-making, protect sensitive information and strengthen their competitive positions.

The company expects fourth-quarter revenue to reach between $2.649 billion and $2.653 billion, significantly above analysts’ average estimate of $2.46 billion, according to data compiled by LSEG. The revised outlook reflects continued momentum across Palantir’s government and commercial businesses, as customers increasingly adopt its software to integrate, manage and analyse information from multiple sources.

Palantir also raised its full-year revenue forecast to between $8.530 billion and $8.534 billion, compared with its previous projection of between $8.150 billion and $8.158 billion. The upward revision signals stronger business performance than previously anticipated and reflects the company’s confidence in sustained demand for its technology offerings.

The company’s software enables organisations to combine information from different systems and use advanced analytical tools and AI models to generate insights. Demand has been particularly strong as businesses and government institutions seek greater control over their data infrastructure and AI systems. This approach allows organisations to manage sensitive information internally while maintaining greater oversight of how artificial intelligence is deployed across their operations.

Palantir’s third-quarter performance further demonstrated the strength of its growth trajectory. Revenue increased approximately 96% to $2.31 billion, exceeding analysts’ expectations of $2.18 billion. The substantial increase highlights the company’s expanding customer base and the growing commercial relevance of its data analytics and AI platforms.

Chief Executive Officer Alex Karp said in a letter to shareholders that the company had effectively doubled the size of its overall business compared with the same quarter a year earlier. His comments underscore the scale of Palantir’s recent expansion as demand for AI-powered enterprise software continues to accelerate.

Investors responded cautiously positively to the updated outlook, with Palantir shares rising approximately 1.5% in volatile extended trading following the announcement. The market reaction reflected optimism over the company’s revenue projections, although fluctuations in after-hours trading indicated that investors continued to assess its valuation and longer-term growth prospects.

Palantir’s latest financial outlook reinforces its position in the expanding AI and data analytics market, where governments and businesses are increasing investment in technologies that support secure information management and advanced decision-making. Its ability to maintain strong growth will depend on converting rising demand into sustained commercial contracts and expanding its presence across both public-sector and private-sector markets.
