Yi He

Binance Holdings Ltd. has appointed its co-founder Yi He as co-chief executive officer alongside Richard Teng, the company announced Wednesday in a post on X. The move marks a significant leadership shift at the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange as it faces heightened global regulatory scrutiny and works to stabilize its governance structure.

In its announcement, Binance said Yi will work jointly with Teng to steer the exchange through its next stage of development, with a focus on strengthening compliance frameworks and reinforcing user trust. “Yi will guide Binance through its next phase of development as we strengthen our global regulatory foundations and continue building a trusted, transparent, and responsible platform for digital assets,” the company said.

The dual-CEO structure underscores Binance’s effort to consolidate leadership expertise as it expands internationally and navigates evolving digital-asset rules across multiple jurisdictions. Yi, a key architect of Binance’s brand and global presence since its founding, is expected to play a central role in strategy, operations and long-term corporate direction.
