SitusAMC, a New York-based vendor for real estate lenders, confirmed in a statement on Saturday that it experienced a cyberattack on November 12, compromising certain information from its systems and potentially affecting some client customer data. The company said the breach included corporate information such as accounting records and legal contracts, though it did not identify which clients were impacted. SitusAMC Chief Executive Michael Franco told the New York Times that the company is analyzing the affected data and has notified law enforcement.

FBI Director Kash Patel said that while authorities are investigating the incident and working with the affected organizations, there has been no operational impact to banking services, according to the report cited by the New York Times. The FBI could not be reached immediately for comment by Reuters. SitusAMC emphasized that the attack has been contained, services are fully operational, and no encrypting malware was involved. JPMorgan Chase, Citi, and Morgan Stanley did not immediately respond to requests for comment from Reuters.
