The nation, engulfed in hatred and resentment, appears incapable of learning or thriving.
In the heart of Bangladesh, a sinister force has emerged, casting a dark shadow over its once-glorified history and ambitions. This enigmatic and malevolent presence, known as the Yunus puppet government—installed by the CIA, ISI, sections of the Bangladesh Army, and other local malefactors—has plunged the nation into a chasm of despair. Its name reverberates ominously, whispered in trepidation by pilots and leaders beyond our borders, staining the very legacy of Bangladesh.
As a keen political observer since 1966, I had the opportunity to scrutinize the anti-quota protests in Dhaka during July-August 2024. What I witnessed was not a genuine revolution or an uprising for justice. Instead, it was a carefully orchestrated conspiracy—a terrorist-like operation meticulously coordinated by a coalition of criminal forces with substantial CIA involvement. History has shown that wherever the CIA operates, destruction, bloodshed, and devastation are inevitable. Bangladesh, too, bore the brunt of this sinister machinery during the tumultuous events of July and August 2024.
The tragic assassination of our Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, and most of his family on 15 August 1975 stands as an irrefutable example of the CIA’s destructive capabilities. Only Sheikh Hasina and Sheikh Rehana survived because they were abroad at the time. This grim chapter serves as a stark reminder: America excels in destruction but utterly fails to foster progress or humanity.
During his tenure as U.S. Ambassador to Bangladesh (March 2022–July 2024), Peter D. Haas blatantly disrespected Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and flagrantly interfered in Bangladesh’s internal affairs, violating both the Geneva Conventions and basic diplomatic norms. He openly fraternized with anti-liberation factions such as the notorious Jamaat-e-Islami and individuals linked to the 1971 mass murderers and General Zia’s Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). His clear objective was to unseat Sheikh Hasina’s government. True to the legacy of her indomitable father, Sheikh Hasina stood her ground, thwarting his provocations at every turn.
In the lead-up to the 7 January 2024 national elections, Haas and his collaborators demanded that Sheikh Hasina resign and allow a caretaker government to oversee the polls. Rightly rejecting this unconstitutional demand, Sheikh Hasina ensured the elections proceeded as scheduled. Frustrated by their failure, the conspirators, buoyed by U.S. and CIA support, boycotted the elections. Haas later resigned from his ambassadorship, joining Excelerate Energy, Inc., a U.S.-based LNG corporation, as a Strategic Adviser. Despite his resignation, Haas remained in Dhaka, actively conspiring to destabilize Sheikh Hasina’s government.
Since 2018, Western media has reported U.S. agencies training a covert group of 170 Special Forces operatives with the explicit aim of overthrowing Sheikh Hasina’s government. This vast and insidious operation involved the CIA, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, Jamaat-e-Islami, Pakistan’s ISI, and radical Islamist groups. Supported by a faction of Bangladesh’s army leadership, this coalition executed a military coup on 5 August 2024, toppling Sheikh Hasina’s government. Billions of U.S. dollars financed this treacherous endeavor, ensuring coordination and active participation from these forces in undermining Bangladesh’s legitimate government.
Following Sheikh Hasina’s removal, anti-liberation forces, including Jamaat-e-Islami collaborators who perpetrated the 1971 genocide, spread misinformation to tarnish her government’s legacy and undermine the foundation of Bangladesh. These forces, determined to revive the two-nation theory defeated in 1971, aim to transform Bangladesh into a hub for terrorism and religious extremism.
The aftermath of the coup has seen two parallel governments operating within Bangladesh. The first, an illegitimate “Interim Government,” led by the controversial Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, is composed of individuals complicit in Bangladesh’s destruction. The second consists of Jamaat-e-Islami remnants and extremist factions like Hefazat, Hizbut Tahrir, and other radical groups. These forces have infiltrated civil, military, police, judiciary, and election institutions, eroding the country’s democratic and secular foundations. The judiciary, dominated by Jamaat operatives, suppresses dissent, while the media is muzzled, erasing all avenues for free expression.
The situation is particularly dire for the Hindu community and pro-liberation supporters. Since the coup, Hindus have been subjected to systematic persecution—murdered, their homes looted and torched, and properties forcibly seized. As someone who has stood in solidarity with these marginalized communities, I have personally faced threats from the orchestrators of this violence.
The Bangladesh Army is now deeply fractured. The largest faction aligns with Jamaat, followed by the BNP, while only a small segment remains loyal to the Awami League. Army Chief General Waker-uz-Zaman and his allies have exacerbated the crisis through their allegiance to Jamaat, further imperiling national stability.
Every human being is born with inherent rights, irrespective of nationality, gender, ethnicity, religion, or status. Yet, under the Yunus-led puppet regime, backed by the CIA, ISI, and their allies, hundreds of thousands of patriotic Bangladeshis have faced systematic oppression, torture, wrongful imprisonment, and even death. This puppet government, supported by criminal networks and misled students, aims to dismantle the harmony and unity forged through the sacrifices of 1971. However, they must remember: we will not stand idly by while our dignity, equality, and freedom are assaulted.
International human rights organizations such as the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, HRW, Amnesty International, and others, once critical of Sheikh Hasina’s government, now remain conspicuously silent on the colossal human rights abuses in post-coup Bangladesh. This hypocrisy must be exposed, for the current state of affairs is unsustainable.
The actions of the CIA, ISI, Jamaat, and other extremist forces must be condemned unequivocally. The people of Bangladesh, who sacrificed so much for their independence in 1971, will not allow their country to fall into the hands of malevolent forces. This betrayal will not be forgiven.
Our triumph is inevitable. Like the stars that guide us through the darkest nights, we shall rise from these shadows, united and resolute. Against the odds, we will reclaim our nation’s honor and secure a future of peace, dignity, and equality for all. In shadows, we stand strong; in shadows, we conquer.
Our banner flies among the stars, and our name is etched in history. Together, we are warriors; together, we are free.
