Welcome to Trump Gaza: Utopian Dream in Genocide-Ridden Gaza Strip

Trump Shares AI Gaza Video: ‘Donald Is Coming to Set You Free’

Bearded bellydancers were also part of the AI vision

In a provocative move that has drawn both outrage and incredulity, U.S. President Donald Trump has shared an AI-generated video showcasing his vision for a U.S.-controlled post-war Gaza Strip. The 35-second video, posted on Trump’s Truth Social platform, imagines a rebuilt Gaza transformed into a luxurious tourist destination—dubbed “Trump Gaza”—amidst the ongoing devastation in the region.

The AI-generated video opens with stark images of a war-torn Gaza, before cutting to a glitzy, reimagined metropolis featuring golden Trump-branded hotels, children holding golden balloons emblazoned with Trump’s face, and even a massive golden statue of Trump himself. The video presents an idyllic seaside escape where Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Trump, and billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk are seen lounging by a pool, while Musk gleefully tosses money into the air.

A surreal soundtrack accompanies the video, with lyrics proclaiming: “Donald is coming to set you free, bringing the light for all to see / No more tunnels, no more fear, Trump Gaza is finally here.” The imagery includes bearded belly dancers performing alongside Trump and Musk dining on hummus, reinforcing the video’s bizarre juxtaposition of luxury and cultural caricature.

Trump’s Plan: The ‘Riviera of the Middle East’

Trump has openly stated that he envisions the United States taking over Gaza after the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas, with plans to relocate Gaza’s population of over two million to Egypt and Jordan—despite fierce opposition from regional leaders and the international community. The president’s proposal, which includes clearing unexploded ordnance and demolishing remaining war-torn infrastructure, is aimed at turning the region into what he calls the “Riviera of the Middle East.”

The controversial video comes just weeks after Trump detailed his plan during a meeting with Netanyahu in Washington. The proposal has found favor with the Israeli prime minister but has been met with strong resistance from Egypt, Jordan, and other Arab nations. European allies, including the UK, have also criticized the plan as undermining efforts toward a two-state solution.

International Backlash and Arab Leaders’ Response

Following Trump’s announcement, Arab leaders convened in Saudi Arabia to discuss Gaza’s future, dismissing Trump’s vision as a reckless attempt to erase Palestinian identity and sovereignty. King Abdullah II of Jordan has rejected the plan outright, while Egyptian officials have insisted that Gaza’s population will not be forcibly displaced.

“We will not be complicit in any plan that involves the forced displacement of Palestinians,” an Egyptian government spokesperson stated. “Gaza belongs to its people.”

Even within the United States, Trump’s proposal has sparked heated debate. Critics argue that the president’s plan echoes colonial-era land grabs, while supporters see it as a pragmatic solution to the ongoing conflict. Trump, however, appears undeterred by the backlash, suggesting that U.S. financial leverage over Egypt and Jordan could be used to push his plan forward.

“Well, we pay Jordan and Egypt billions of dollars a year. And I was a little surprised they’d say that, but they did,” Trump said in a recent Fox News interview. “I think my plan is the best way forward, but I’m not forcing it. I’ll just sit back and recommend it.”

A Digital Dream Amid Real-World Devastation

Trump’s AI video paints a utopian vision of Gaza, but the reality on the ground tells a far different story. Since the war began with Hamas’s October 7, 2023, attack on Israel—which left nearly 1,200 people dead and over 200 taken hostage—Gaza has endured relentless bombardment. According to the Hamas-run health ministry, over 48,000 Palestinians have been killed in the ensuing Israeli military campaign, leaving the enclave in ruins and its population on the brink of famine.

Despite international outcry, Trump continues to push his Gaza dream, leveraging his influence among right-wing supporters and Israeli hardliners. Whether his vision becomes a serious geopolitical proposal or remains a surreal AI-generated fantasy remains to be seen. But one thing is certain: the controversy surrounding “Trump Gaza” is far from over.
