Conservative author and activist Ashley St. Clair has revealed that tech mogul Elon Musk is the father of her five-month-old child. The announcement, made via a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, has raised eyebrows and prompted widespread media attention, with the author requesting privacy amid the growing interest.
St. Clair, who is known for her outspoken conservative views and her children’s book “Elephants Are Not Birds,” shared that she had kept the birth of their child private to ensure their safety. However, as rumors and tabloid reports began to surface, she chose to go public with the news. In her post, St. Clair emphasized her desire for privacy, asking the media to respect their child’s well-being and avoid invasive coverage.
Elon Musk, the billionaire CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has not yet commented on the claims. The entrepreneur, who is already a father of 12 children from previous relationships, has been publicly silent about his connection with St. Clair. While no information about their relationship or how they met has been made public, the pair has engaged in interactions on X. In November 2023, St. Clair mentioned on the platform that she had stopped using birth control for mental health reasons, to which Musk replied, “for sure.” Additionally, Musk wished St. Clair a happy birthday last year, and the two exchanged cordial messages, with Musk later sharing a list of book recommendations.
St. Clair, 26, has built her public profile around her conservative views, particularly on gender identity and family dynamics. Her book, “Elephants Are Not Birds,” challenges contemporary gender concepts and is an unapologetic stance against transgender acceptance. St. Clair has also collaborated with The Babylon Bee, a satirical right-wing news outlet, and appeared on Fox News and various podcasts, advocating for traditional family values and addressing issues such as the declining birth rates in affluent nations.
Musk’s family is known to be expansive, including six children with his first wife, Canadian author Justine Wilson—twins Vivian and Griffin, triplets Kai, Saxon, and Damian, and a late son, Nevada, who tragically passed away at 10 weeks old. In addition, Musk shares three children with musician Claire Boucher, known professionally as Grimes: sons X Æ A-Xii and Techno Mechanicus, and daughter Exa Dark Sideræl. He also has twins, Strider and Azure, with Shivon Zilis, a top executive at Musk’s Neuralink company. Musk’s growing family has been a topic of public interest, particularly in light of his outspoken concerns about global birth rates.
Throughout his career, Musk has frequently emphasized the importance of increasing birth rates, calling the current global decline the “biggest threat faced by humanity.” His statements align with St. Clair’s views, which have focused on the necessity of larger families to combat the demographic challenges of declining populations.
