The dark conspiracy behind the unlawful overthrow of HPM Sheikh Hasina on 5 August 2024 now stands exposed in all its malevolence.
The 5th of August, 2024, shall forever remain inscribed in the annals of Bangladesh’s history as a day of unspeakable catastrophe—a day when the very soul of our nation was plunged into an abyss. On this fateful day, the sacred banner of our struggle, gloriously unfurled in the spring of 1971 as a symbol of our liberty and sovereignty, was desecrated, torn asunder, and trampled upon. This was no act of a foreign adversary alone but the sinister handiwork of a malevolent alliance—CIA, IRI, NED, USAID, ISI, the Bangladesh Army, Jamaat-e-Islami mercenaries, Yunus, BNP, and a constellation of extremist right-wing factions.
Their collusion has left our nation bleeding, gasping for breath, as it staggers beneath the weight of an unbearable betrayal. The agony is unfathomable, a wound that cuts deep into our collective consciousness. The injustice meted out to Bangladesh is intolerable—an affront to the blood and sacrifices poured forth in 1971.
As one who has walked the trenches of history for nearly six decades, as a political observer who has witnessed the tides of power since 1966, I stand today to bear solemn witness. The so-called anti-quota movement of 2024, parading as a crusade for students’ rights, was nothing more than a smokescreen—a meticulously crafted illusion designed to mask the true intentions of those who sought to dismantle our nation’s progress.
The very agents who have long conspired to erode our independence—CIA, IRI, NED, USAID, ISI, the Bangladesh Army, Yunus, BNP, and their extremist allies—stood behind this charade. Their goal was unambiguous: to topple the government of Sheikh Hasina, a leader whose name resounds across the globe as a beacon of progress and vision.
Sheikh Hasina, a formidable leader of our time, has been the lifeblood of Bangladesh’s resurgence, guiding the nation toward the ranks of the world’s most developed countries. She stands as a modern-day Joan of Arc, unyielding in her devotion to her people. Yet, her ascent has been relentlessly opposed by those who cannot bear the reality of our triumph in 1971. The powers that sought to subjugate us in our hour of victory—America, China, and their treacherous local collaborators—still writhe in resentment over their ideological defeat. Their vengeance has manifested in a relentless assault on Sheikh Hasina’s government, a government that embodies our nation’s unbroken spirit.
This was never about students’ rights; it was about subjugating Bangladesh’s democratic will. It was about exacting revenge for 1971, when our fledgling nation stood defiantly against the combined might of imperialist forces and their lackeys. To these forces, Bangladesh remains a thorn in their geopolitical ambitions, particularly in the Indo-Pacific. For decades, they have sought to erase the memory of our independence, weaken our resolve, and make us pliant to their whims. The orchestrated protests of 2024 were but the latest gambit in this long, sinister game.
Let there be no doubt: what transpired in July and August of 2024 was no revolution, no organic uprising. It was no spontaneous cry of the people’s will. No! What we witnessed was a treacherous conspiracy, a calculated coup engineered by these ignoble agents, the enemies of our nation. This was a deliberate and dark plot to destabilise our country, crush our spirits, and erase the legacy of 1971.
The violence that convulsed our nation during this period was not a result of the people’s movement, but the orchestrated handiwork of these very forces. The bloodshed, the brutal murders of madrasah students, the slaughter of innocent, impoverished citizens—these atrocities were not the work of Sheikh Hasina’s government or the people of Bangladesh. No, the overwhelming majority—98%—of these heinous crimes were carried out by the conspirators themselves, who then framed the innocent to manipulate public outrage against the government.
I bore witness to these harrowing events firsthand. I saw the brutality that unfolded before my very eyes—the merciless murder of students, the bloodied bodies discarded in the streets, the anguished cries of the innocent. And through it all, a sinister realisation gripped me: we were witnessing an orchestrated theatre of bloodshed, where the victims were cast as villains and the true perpetrators remained in the shadows, exulting in their foul triumph.
Since 5 August 2024, Bangladesh has been cast into an era of lawlessness, where the rule of the jungle prevails. Justice, once the foundation of our society, teeters on the brink of obliteration. But let me be clear: the truth cannot remain buried forever. The digital age has dawned, and with it, the power of the people to unearth lies and deceit. The faces behind this conspiracy are being exposed for all to see.
Their vile actions, their nefarious alliances, their unholy designs are being unmasked with every passing day. Their days are numbered. Justice—however long delayed—will find them. They shall not escape the reckoning that awaits. The people of Bangladesh will not be deceived indefinitely.
And so, with unshakeable conviction, I declare: the enemies of Bangladesh, these wretched fiends who have sought to subjugate our nation, must not be allowed to elude their fate. The noose of justice will tighten around them, and they shall answer for their crimes.
Alas, Bangladesh! The land I once knew, the land I fought for in 1971, now lies shrouded in darkness. My heart is heavy with rage and sorrow for what has befallen my beloved country. But I will not yield. I will not let the dreams of 1971 be extinguished by these malevolent forces. We, the sons and daughters of Bangladesh, must rise once more. We must reclaim the nation that was forged in the crucible of war, a nation that promised peace, unity, and harmony for all, irrespective of faith or creed.
We must restore the Bangladesh we fought for in 1971—where peace, brotherhood, and mutual respect reign supreme, where the shadow of terror and tyranny is forever vanquished. This is the Bangladesh we shall reclaim, for we shall never allow the infernal fiends who sought to destroy it to prevail.
With sorrowful tears yet unwavering resolve, let the glorious Bangladesh endure—the sovereign land we forged through rivers of blood in 1971, where people of all faiths shall dwell in unity, peace, and harmony, forever bound by the noble ideals for which we bled and sacrificed.
