In an era where digital solutions dominate, young people are increasingly turning to DeepSeek not just for work-related tasks, but also as an “emotional expert” to help navigate relationship issues. The rise in popularity of DeepSeek, a platform known for its powerful search capabilities and logical reasoning functions, has led to its growing role in resolving personal disputes, especially for those seeking neutral, rational advice during moments of emotional conflict.

Xiao Cheng, a young woman, recently found herself in a heated disagreement with her boyfriend over trivial matters. Feeling stuck, she turned to DeepSeek for assistance. Despite initially having low expectations for its ability to address emotional issues, Cheng was surprised by the depth and clarity of the platform’s response.

“DeepSeek analyzed the emotional dynamics of my argument and explained how my boyfriend and I were caught in a ‘misaligned communication’ loop,” Cheng shared. The platform’s response not only pinpointed the core issues but also offered concrete advice, taking into account both her and her boyfriend’s perspectives, as well as the feasibility of the proposed solutions.

DeepSeek’s response was divided into three key areas: timely action, communication skills, and long-term habits. These suggestions provided Cheng with both short-term solutions and strategies for long-term relationship improvement.

Experts like Qin An, deputy director of the expert committee on counter-terrorism and cybersecurity governance at the China Society of Police Law, commend DeepSeek for its scientifically grounded approach. “Its ability to offer rational and effective solutions that take into account both emotional intelligence and logical reasoning deserves recognition,” Qin noted. “DeepSeek provides young people with more comprehensive, scientifically informed guidance than many of their peers, parents, or even friends.”

The platform’s influence has spread beyond Cheng. Fang Yuxuan, another young user, shared her experience using DeepSeek as an “emotional assistant” to resolve a conflict. After analyzing her situation, DeepSeek offered the comforting message, “Giving you a hug.” Fang was taken aback by the AI’s ability to understand her emotions in such a heartfelt way, a response she found surprisingly intuitive.

As DeepSeek continues to grow in popularity among young users, experts highlight its potential to offer valuable insights into human emotions. However, they also caution that such reliance on AI comes with ethical considerations. “While DeepSeek offers a more comprehensive understanding of emotional dynamics, it’s crucial to remember that the ultimate responsibility for resolving personal issues lies with individuals themselves,” said Qin.

As AI technology continues to evolve, platforms like DeepSeek are becoming an integral part of the emotional landscape for young people, providing rational solutions and sometimes offering the emotional support they seek. However, the true challenge will be balancing these digital interventions with human connection and responsibility in resolving interpersonal conflicts.
