In a dazzling display of grace and poise, Thailand’s Opal Suchata was crowned Miss World 2025 at a grand ceremony held in Hyderabad, India. The 72nd edition of the prestigious international pageant concluded with reigning Miss World, Krystyna Pyszkova of the Czech Republic, passing on her crown to Opal.
Opal captivated audiences and judges alike with her elegant white gown, featuring delicate opal-like floral motifs and sparkling Swarovski crystals. The gown was designed to symbolize healing, strength, and transformation, reflecting her advocacy campaign “Opal For HER.” Speaking about the gown, Opal said, “It represents hope, resilience, and the ripple effect of compassion—how one heart can awaken many.”
Despite high hopes for India’s Nandini Gupta, who had made it into the Top 40 and was one of the 18 contestants fast-tracked during earlier rounds, she fell short of reaching the Top 8 finalists. The official Miss World Instagram page confirmed the final results, leaving Indian fans hopeful for future competitions.
This year’s event marked the second consecutive time India hosted the Miss World pageant, further cementing its reputation as a key venue for global cultural and beauty events. The event drew a star-studded crowd and widespread media attention, showcasing India’s hospitality and organizational capabilities on an international stage.
