Alexis Wilkins, the 26-year-old girlfriend of FBI Director Kash Patel, has filed a $5 million defamation lawsuit against a former FBI agent who accused her of working as a foreign spy.
Wilkins, a country music singer and political commentator, alleges that Kyle M. Seraphin, a onetime FBI special agent who now hosts a podcast, defamed her in an August episode by suggesting she was “honeypotting” Patel on behalf of the Israeli government.
The lawsuit, filed by attorney Jason Greaves, states that Seraphin’s remarks amount to false and malicious claims of espionage and even treason. “These accusations are all categorically false, and Defendant knows it,” the filing reads.
Wilkins began dating Patel, 45, in 2023 after the two met at a Nashville party. Their relationship started long before Patel assumed his current role as FBI Director, according to the complaint.
On his podcast, The Kyle Seraphin Show, Seraphin claimed Patel “has [his] own little honeypot issue,” describing Wilkins as a much younger girlfriend with ties to prominent conservative figures and even alleging she was a former Mossad operative.
Greaves dismissed those claims as “vile and ridiculous,” noting that Seraphin “isn’t even Jewish, much less Israeli, and has never set foot in Israel.” The lawsuit further argues that Seraphin personally met Wilkins and Patel two years ago and was aware their relationship predated Patel’s leadership at the FBI.
“Defendant has even met Ms. Wilkins and knows fully well that she is American and not Israeli, much less a Mossad agent,” the filing asserts. It also accuses Seraphin of making the claims with “actual malice,” motivated by animosity toward Wilkins and the potential for financial gain through sensationalism.
Seraphin, who is affiliated with The Suspendables, a group of ex-FBI employees critical of the bureau’s handling of Jan. 6 investigations and pandemic-related policies, has not yet publicly responded to the lawsuit.
