Israel reportedly remains on course for an expected retaliatory strike against Iran, undeterred by recent leaks of US intelligence detailing its preparations, The War Zone reports. Citing an anonymous US official, the outlet asserted there are no signs that Israel has altered its timeline for the strike in response to the release of top-secret Pentagon documents.

The leaked documents, allegedly prepared by the US National Geospatial Intelligence Agency, were first shared on a Telegram channel linked to Middle Eastern affairs. According to The Times, the disclosure initially led Israel to review its plans, fearing that certain attack patterns might become predictable to Iran. However, a US official has since countered that Israel’s broader intentions remain unaffected by the leak.

Israel’s intended response is linked to Iran’s October 1 missile barrage, which Iran claims was in response to targeted killings of leaders within Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. While the Israel Defense Forces claim that most of the missiles were intercepted, Iran reported direct hits on multiple Israeli military targets.

The FBI has confirmed an investigation into the document leak, while Tehran has warned of “decisive and regretful” consequences should Israel follow through on its threats.
