Mossad agents established covert bases within Iran and launched a surprise strike on strategic Iranian military targets, according to Israeli security sources cited by Israeli media outlet N12 News.
In a report by N12’s security correspondent Nir Davori, new details have emerged about Mossad’s role in Israel’s overnight preemptive strike on Iran. According to the report, Mossad operatives had been stationed deep inside Iranian territory for months, constructing missile and drone launch sites in plain view, and alarmingly close to Iranian air defense systems.
“These agents were able to deploy precision-guided missiles and suicide drones within Iran, and then activate them in perfect coordination with Israeli Air Force strikes,” the source told N12. The internal assault on Iranian air defenses was part of Operation “Am Kalavi,” a covert campaign designed to cripple Iran’s missile capabilities and neutralize nuclear-related threats.
The operation reportedly relied on three overlapping systems orchestrated by Mossad in partnership with the IDF and Israel’s defense industry. These systems involved the deployment of mobile attack technologies, drone swarms, and precision missile batteries, all of which were clandestinely embedded across Iran—including within Tehran itself.
One of the most striking claims, reported by N12, is that Mossad commando squads operated openly near Iranian SAM (surface-to-air missile) systems. When the Israeli Air Force launched its strike overnight, these internal cells activated their weaponry, hitting Iranian anti-aircraft defenses from within the country’s own borders.
A separate Mossad unit is said to have targeted and destroyed Iranian surface-to-surface missile launchers near the Asfajabad base using explosive drones. Another team deployed high-tech attack systems hidden in vehicles, which were remotely activated during the air raid to further degrade Iranian defense capabilities.
The success of the mission, sources claim, was the result of months of meticulous planning, intelligence gathering, and technological innovation. Israeli security sources emphasized that Mossad’s operations were conducted under tight secrecy, even while operating under the surveillance of Iranian intelligence agencies.
In addition to military targets, the operation also targeted Iranian nuclear scientists and senior defense officials, following intensive surveillance efforts to “incriminate and eliminate” high-value figures in Iran’s military infrastructure.
Footage circulating on social media and carried by outlets including Reuters and AP appears to show smoke rising from the Revolutionary Guards’ central headquarters in Tehran, adding visual confirmation to the widespread impact of the strike.
