Elon Musk has reportedly welcomed his 14th child after Shivon Zilis, an executive at his company Neuralink, confirmed the birth of their fourth child together. The announcement, made by Zilis on X—the social media platform owned by Musk—comes just a month after another woman, conservative influencer Ashley St Clair, claimed Musk was the father of her five-month-old baby.

The baby boy, named Seldon Lycurgus, appears to be a nod to both Hari Seldon, a character from Isaac Asimov’s Foundation series, and Lycurgus of Sparta, a legendary lawgiver credited with shaping Spartan society. In her post, Zilis described the child as “built like a juggernaut, with a solid heart of gold,” though she did not disclose his exact birth date.

Musk, 53, has long been vocal about his concerns regarding declining birth rates, arguing that population collapse is a greater threat to civilization than climate change. His growing family now includes children from multiple women, including the singer Grimes, with whom he shares three kids.

The announcement coincides with Musk’s increasing influence in the US government. Recently appointed by President Donald Trump to lead the Department of Government Efficiency (Doge), Musk has spearheaded aggressive budget cuts, including a controversial reduction in Social Security Administration (SSA) staff. On Friday, the SSA announced plans to cut its workforce by 12%, affecting services for millions of retirees and disabled Americans. Additionally, federal employees have been subjected to increased scrutiny under Musk’s oversight, with some receiving emails demanding accountability for their work hours under the subject line: “What did you do last week?”

While Musk’s growing personal and political influence continues to spark debate, his latest addition to the family reaffirms his commitment to his own philosophy—ensuring that he, at least, is doing his part to combat declining birth rates.
