Hilton (NYSE: HLT), the global hospitality giant, has announced the debut of its Hampton by Hilton brand in Thailand, marking a significant step in the company’s expansion across Southeast Asia’s growing midscale travel market. The new property, Hampton by Hilton Phuket Town, is slated to open in Q3 2026 and will become Hilton’s ninth brand in the region.

This strategic launch underscores Hilton’s broader ambition to triple its mid-market footprint in Southeast Asia, where it already operates 110 properties and is poised to increase that number by over 50% in the coming years. Thailand, already home to Hilton’s largest portfolio in the region, currently boasts 30 properties with 11 more in development.

“Hampton by Hilton’s arrival in Southeast Asia is a milestone in our growth strategy, particularly as we meet the rising demand for high-quality, affordable accommodations,” said Alexandra Murray, Area Vice President and Regional Head of Southeast Asia, Hilton. “This launch reflects our continued commitment to serve today’s travelers with trusted hospitality and exceptional experiences.”

Located within walking distance of Phuket Old Town, the 112-room hotel will offer modern, thoughtfully designed accommodations starting from 21 square meters. Guests will have access to an outdoor pool, fitness center, and close proximity to key local attractions, including the Rassada Pier and Phuket International Airport.

“Phuket continues to attract millions of visitors each year with its cultural richness and stunning landscapes,” said Khun Phetcharat Manasomjit, CEO of ETG Phuket. “We’re proud to partner with Hilton to bring Hampton by Hilton to this iconic destination, providing travelers with reliable and comfortable midscale lodging.”

Hampton by Hilton, celebrated for its consistent service, premium sleep experience, complimentary hot breakfast, and the 100% Hampton Guarantee™, currently operates more than 3,000 hotels globally. The brand’s introduction to Thailand builds on Hilton’s recent expansion momentum in the region, which includes new Hilton Garden Inn signings in the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

Maria Ariizumi, Vice President of Development for Southeast Asia at Hilton, added: “This signing reflects both strong confidence in Hilton’s brand power and the region’s mid-market potential. We remain committed to growing with the right partners to meet evolving guest needs.”

As with all Hilton properties, guests at Hampton by Hilton Phuket Town will enjoy benefits from Hilton Honors, the company’s award-winning loyalty program, including flexible booking options, member discounts, and free standard Wi-Fi.
