Reports circulating on social media claim that former Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa has been admitted to a private hospital in Colombo. However, a spokesperson for the veteran politician has denied the claims, stating that Rajapaksa is at his official residence and in good health.

The 79-year-old leader has faced multiple health concerns in recent years, leading to occasional hospital visits. He recently underwent knee surgery, requiring a period of recovery. While these medical treatments have fueled public speculation, his office maintains that he is not currently hospitalized.

Reiterating his stance from previous occasions, Rajapaksa dismisses such rumors, urging the public not to believe unverified social media reports. His office has assured that any significant health updates will be communicated through official channels, emphasizing the importance of relying on credible sources.
