Blind terror and hatred of Arabs and Islam fuel the American and Israeli plans for the so-called “Greater Israel” — a catastrophic aberration taking shape with no real deterrence. Despite international law, the UN Security Council, and a vigilant global community calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, crimes against humanity and the forcible displacement of 2.5 million civilians continue unabated.
Western mythologists often refer to Arab authoritarian leaders as “camel jockeys”, while others are labelled “moderate” or “friendly”. The idea of “moderate Arabs” is a running joke in Western political circles, often treated as an after-dinner laugh. If Arab leaders dared to look in the mirror, they would recognise the enemy staring back at them.
When cold-blooded massacres become daily occurrences, food and medical supplies are blocked, and starvation is used as a weapon to dehumanise, no conscientious leader seems willing to stop the madness — as if Palestinians are not human beings at all. Does inhumanity and insanity require any further definition?
Tom Fletcher, the UN Humanitarian Coordinator, has informed the Security Council about Israel’s deliberate bombardment of hospitals, the blockage of food and medicine, and the killing of civilians across Gaza, including at GHF food distribution centres. The global community might rightly call this planned terrorism. Meanwhile, the Israeli Defence Minister pushes 600,000 civilians in Gaza towards what amounts to a concentration camp in Rafah — is there another word for this other than “Holocaust”?
While these crimes unfolded, Jennifer Lopez’s musical performance entertained the Saudi elite with vulgarity and nudity. How ignorant and indifferent can one be? At the same time, UAE rulers hosted the World Climate Conference, spending $2 billion to entertain aggressors and the killers of Gaza. Israel bulldozed the Rafah Crossing, and the Egyptians watched silently.
One wonders — what went wrong with Arab leaders? Are they alive, or mere rituals on display? Israel thrives on conflict, sustained by US aid, and Netanyahu and Trump conspire to keep the war going. Bombings in Gaza, Syria, and Lebanon continue as if the Arab-Muslim leaders were mindless robots.
The global community is witnessing the American-supported Israeli war on Palestine as a form of ethnic cleansing and genocide, without any international legal accountability. Recently, President Trump completed a three-day visit that sealed multi-trillion-dollar deals, including arms sales and protection for regional rulers. These deals reinforce the imperial domination of the region.
Those who drop bombs are not behaving as rational beings — they act as if Palestinians are not equal human beings. History may well record this as the beginning of a wider conquest of the Arab world.
Never has history witnessed such a moral, intellectual, and political collapse of Arab leadership. When will they learn from living history to distinguish between friend and foe? Recall the prayer of Prophet Abraham (Qur’an 60:5):
“Our Lord! In Thee do we trust, and to Thee do we turn in repentance: to Thee is the final goal. Make us not a trial for the disbelievers, but forgive us, our Lord! For Thou art the Exalted in Might, the Wise.”
For the 2.5 million people of Gaza, there is nowhere safe to go. Every day brings fresh killings, bombardments of civilian homes, places of worship, hospitals, and UNRWA school shelters. The so-called civilised world seems forever lost.
This war has emboldened Netanyahu’s political absolutism — a narcissistic leader bent on regaining power through manipulation, violence, or new war fronts.
Is the 21st Century Civilised World Coming to an End?
Gaza and the West Bank have been devastated by over 22 months of Israeli bombardment targeting civilian infrastructure. Why are Arab states purchasing $100 billion worth of weapons from the US when they have neither leadership nor the armies to use them?
If Arab leaders had the moral courage and intellectual vision, they would have challenged this war and protected the innocent. Instead, they appear morally, intellectually, and politically bankrupt — floating like scum in a torrent of discredited, puppet leadership.
The Divine injunction is clear: “Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves.” (Qur’an 13:11)
The American-Israeli war on Gaza, and its consequences, have rendered Western institutions — including the UN Security Council — hollow and ineffective. The global norms of human rights, justice, and civilian protection have been openly violated. Crimes against humanity are reduced to political manoeuvring, indecision, and cowardice.
God created human beings as the most intelligent of His creations — with moral obligations and accountability. Those who defy God’s laws will be held accountable, just as past aggressors were. We are not animals; we must not behave like them. Animals live without reflection; humans must live with awareness, compassion, and purpose.
At the edge of reason, the realisation of evil must awaken action. Tyranny and genocide must be stopped by all means, and the perpetrators must be held accountable to restore peace, justice, and security for all.
Wise nations and leaders always heed advice. Let us remember God’s reminder to the Children of Israel (Qur’an 2:84–85):
“And remember, We took a covenant from the Children of Israel: Worship none but Allah; … do not shed each other’s blood or evict one another from your homes. You ratified this, and you bear witness. Yet here you are, killing one another and driving some of your people from their homes, aiding one another in sin and aggression… Do you believe in part of the Scripture and reject the rest? What is the reward for those among you who behave in such a manner except disgrace in this worldly life? And on the Day of Judgement, they will be subjected to the most severe punishment. And Allah is never unaware of what you do.”
