Professor Raina MacIntyre is an NHMRC Principal Research Fellow and Head of the Biosecurity Program at the Kirby Institute, as well as a Professor of Global Biosecurity at UNSW. Her research covers epidemiology, vaccinology, and public health, focusing on emerging infections, including COVID-19 and vaccines. She has won several awards, such as the Sir Henry Wellcome Medal and the Frank Fenner Award, and has over 400 publications. MacIntyre has served on expert committees for the US National Academies, the Institute of Medicine, and the WHO.
