Brian Michael Jenkins is a senior advisor to the president of RAND and a prolific author on terrorism, including Will Terrorists Go Nuclear? and The Long Shadow of 9/11. A decorated Green Beret veteran, he served in Vietnam and the Dominican Republic and received the Army’s highest award for his service. He has held numerous advisory roles to the U.S. government, including on aviation security, counterterrorism, and transportation protection.
